  • Ecotex® Screen Printing Plastisol Transfer Powder
7231 Boulder Ave. Ste 518 Highland, CA 92346
    Other
    Key Benefits:
    -Extends Life of The Print
    -Extends Washability
    -Ease of Use
-Versatile - Can Also Be Used For Foils

    Ecotex® Screen Printing Plastisol Transfer
Powder by Screen Print Direct® is a bonding powder used to heat transfer ink. By using transfer powder on your plastisol ink, you can guarantee a smoother transfer of ink onto desired material. While you can transfer ink without transfer powder, the powder extends the life of the print and washability. Transfer powder can also be used for foil transfers. It creates a secure and long-lasting bond between garment and foil.

-Run transfer paper through dyer to preshrink the sheet before using it on your press.

-Burn your image backwards because once you get to heat pressing the image onto your garment, the image will flip once again.

-Use about 1/8 inch off contact.

-If you are doing a multiple color print use a quick flash be careful not shrink the paper more before printing your next color

-Once you are done printing you have to slightly cure your image but leave the image slight wet for the adhesion powder to have something to stick to.

-Place powder into a bucket. Don't worry about over filling. Excess powder can be reused

-Use gloves to dip the transfer paper into the bucket cover the entire printed area with the powder

-Run the powdered print through the drier to gel the ink. If you are using Rapid Cure ink, which cures at 270F, run it through the drier at 200F. Gel the ink, do not fully cure.

-Put excess powder back into the container.

Warning: Do not leave the powder out, moisture in the air will ruin it.

    Mesh Guidelines: 155-305

    Flash and Curing Guidelines:

Curing should be a minimum of 90 seconds at 320°F. For the best results 2-3 minutes at 320°F.
    Flash at 105°C/220°F - 7 - 12 seconds
    Recommended Clean Up:

On the press/in the sink - Ecotex® Water Based Screen Printing Press Wash
    For Optimal Use:

Activate just enough ink for the job at hand
Mist the screen with water during high volume runs to prevent the ink from drying out
    Mixing Information:

Water based printing: Our ink can be used straight out of the bottle as a traditional water-based ink. We recommend only doing this technique on light color garments.
Discharge Printing: This ink can also be used a discharge ink by adding the discharge powder. When using as a discharge ink, add enough discharge powder to the amount of ink you need for the print run. This will be somewhere in between 3-5% by weight. Mix thoroughly to make sure no chunks or grains are visible. Once the powder is added to the ink it will last for 8 hours.
Emulsion Recommendations: We recommend using a water resistant emulsion such as Water Resistant Blue Emulsion or Dual Cure Pink Emulsion, both require mixing diazo. Remember to degrease your screen before coating emulsion, Hyper Haze will degrease and remove stains/ghosts.

CMS-Color Mixing System: Our Color Mixing System is designed, so you can create any color you want in the pantone system with just 14 colors. If you’re interested in trying out all 14 colors, you can access our color kit and try the whole thing out instead of just one color. Best of all our mixing system is FREE! Click here or message us directly to gain access to our color mixing software.

General Testing: Before you do any large print, we recommend doing a stretch and a wash test to ensure you cured and printed correctly before going into production. Increase cure time if testing fails. We recommend only using natural fibers; best results will be seen on 100% cotton. Synthetic fibers will not discharge properly.

Color Matching Info: Some colors do not discharge as well as others ex. are red, blue & purples. Color matching may not be exact. Roughly 90% of our colors match, matches cannot be guaranteed due to the differences in how fabrics are dyed.

  • Rapid Cure Special FX Kit
7231 Boulder Ave. Ste 518 Highland, CA 92346
    Other
Ready to take your prints to the next level? Add special effects to your arsenal of services and wow your customers with these new techniques. This kit includes 5 of our best-selling special effect additives in 8-ounce containers. Test, perfect and play with these new inks before adding them as a new offering to your customers.
    Kit Includes
    Puff Additive
    High-Density Additive
    Stretch Additive
    Glow Ink
    Foil Adhesive
Rapid Cure Screen Printing Puff Additive by Screen Print Direct® is a low-temperature cure plastisol ink additive formulated to give your ink an elevated puff texture. Rapid Cure Puff Additive is ready to use from the container, mix the additive into the ink of your choice.

The puffing effect occurs once the ink is fully cured on your garment.

We highly recommend using Rapid Cure Puff Ink with low-temperature ink. Results with a standard plastisol ink are subpar.

Rapid Cure Screen Printing High Density (HD) Additive by Screen Print Direct® is a low-temperature cure plastisol ink additive formulated to give your ink a thick 3-dimensional deposit. This high-density additive must be paired with a thick stencil to achieve a 3-dimensional look. Ecotex® Tex Red HV and Ecotex® Tex Blue HV are both high-viscosity emulsions that create a nice thick stencil. Rapid Cure High Density (HD) Additive is great for creating a dramatic raised look while keeping edges sharp in your art detail.

High-Density additive is not an expansive additive like puff additive. This additive is meant to make the ink buildable within a thick stencil. Multiple layers of ink are required in order to achieve desired results.

This ink can be used with low temp cure inks or with standard plastisol inks.
Rapid Cure Stretch Additive by Screen Print Direct is a low-temperature cure additive that will allow ink to cure seamlessly on garments without cracking. Our super stretch additive is perfect for screen printing athletic apparel. Customize athletic wear, leggings, and more with just one simple additive. Simply add 10-15% by weight of the additive to the ink of your choice. We highly recommend our Rapid Cure plastisol ink collection.
Rapid Cure Glow In The Dark Screen Printing Plastisol Ink by Screen Print Direct® is a premium plastisol ink that cures as low as 270°. Rapid Cure Plastisol Ink is the best plastisol ink for screen printing when working with a variety of materials. This low-bleed glow-in-the-dark ink works great with a wide variety of blends including polyester. Say goodbye to garment shrinking and scorching with low-temperature cure fabric ink. The ink's lower cure temp saves production time and helps ensure the garment is cured properly without expensive conveyor dryers. The ink's texture is creamy and short-bodied. The color is vibrant, bold, and opaque. For darker garments, we recommend printing with an under-base.
Rapid Cure Screen Printing Foil Adhesive by Screen Print Direct® is a clear plastisol adhesive created to adhere foil to textiles. This screen printing adhesive can be printed directly onto fabric or onto the foil and used as a transfer. Rapid Cure Screen Printing Foil Adhesive can be used on cotton and poly blends, dark or light, straight from the container.

Disclaimer: All colors are approximate and will vary from monitor to monitor.
For more information on low-temperature cure, inks take a look at the blogs we have below.

    General Information:

For more information specific to the item in the kit, visit the individual listing for the product. Links have been provided above in each description.

    Curing:

    Cure at 132° C/270° F
    Flash at 82-104° C/180-200°F
Flash and Curing Guidelines: Generally it will take 5-10 washes to fully test the cure, but if the ink is seriously under-cured, the print will show deterioration after only 1-3 washings washes. Another way to test your print quickly is doing the “Stretch Test” stretch the print roughly 2/3 of the T-Shirt; if the print cracks and does not retract back it means you under-cured.

General Testing: Before you do any large print, we recommend doing a stretch test and a wash test to ensure you cured and printed correctly before going into production. Increase cure time if testing fails. We recommend only using natural fibers best results will be seen on 100% cotton.

    Clean-Up:

✔️Pro Tips: Plastisol inks do not dye fabric like traditional inks. Plastisol inks wrap around the fibers and make a mechanical bond with the fabric. Store plastisol inks at room temperature. Prolonged exposure to temperatures above 90º F (32º C) can cause the ink to start to cure while it's still in the container.

We highly recommend printing with an under-base white when printing on a dark garment
Ready to take your prints to the next level? Add special effects to your arsenal of services and wow your customers with these new techniques. This kit includes 5 of our best-selling special effect additives in 8-ounce containers. Test, perfect and play with these new inks before adding them as a new offering to your customers. Kit Includes Puff Additive High-Density Additive Stretch Additive Glow Ink Foil Adhesive Rapid Cure Screen Printing Puff Additive by Screen Print Direct® is a low-temperature cure plastisol ink additive formulated to give your ink an elevated puff texture. General Information: For more information specific to the item in the kit, visit the individual listing for the product. Links have been provided above in each description. Curing: Cure at 132° C/270° F Flash at 82-104° C/180-200°F Flash and Curing Guidelines: Generally it will take 5-10 washes to fully test the cure, but if the ink is seriously under-cured, the print will show deterioration after only 1-3 washings washes.
