Recently, grandmaster Hans Niemann rocked the world of chess after he was caught cheating using an AI algorithm. This leads to the question, how easily is Artificial Intelligence beating us at our own games? I decided to test that out by teaching an AI to play the snake game and see whether I could beat its score. Although AIs are getting increasingly more powerful, I think I have an even chance, since playing the snake game is one of my favorite procrastination methods.

In case you didn’t already know, the snake game involves a snake that moves around a board, eating food and avoiding obstacles. The goal of the game is to make the snake as long as possible by eating food without crashing into the walls or running into its own body, which will end the game. The snake grows in length each time it eats a piece of food.
